Campaign for Scholarships
Making a Difference in the Lives of Students
On July 1, 2009, UL Lafayette president Dr. Joe Savoie approved the launching of a scholarship campaign whose goal is to increase scholarship endowments by 20%. This goal coincides with a vision of increasing enrollment by an equal percentage. Thus, a goal of $4.5 million was set for The Campaign for Scholarships at UL Lafayette.
Since the campaign began $3.25 million in scholarship gifts, pledges and planned gifts have been received from alumni, businesses, foundations and friends of the University. Their partnership with UL in this special campaign will help more students realize their dream of earning a college degree.
